Experience

It has been more that 10 years since Joe started with Ruotolo, Spewak & Co. initially as a tax intern and joining full time in 2010.  Over the years, he evolved from assisting with bookkeeping, tax planning and audits to his current role as Partner overseeing the firm’s Tax Department.  Joe is also a primary lead for various non-profit organization and CIRA/Homeowners Association audits plus provides small to medium sized businesses and individuals with tax planning and preparation, financial reporting and related consulting.

Joe is a graduate of Rowan University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey. He is an active member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs and shares his expertise on the Samaritan Hospice finance committee. Having a passion for teaching, Joe is a mentor in the Accounting Department at his alma mater and if not a CPA, he would have chosen the field of education or school business administration.

When not at work, Joe enjoys bowling, golf and going to concerts. He is originally from Burlington County, NJ and now resides in Mercer County with his wife and daughter. Together, they enjoy traveling and spending time.
